Looks like Marvel is ready to get in skin deep with Dexter. Ever since the series ended a few months back, fans have been left to wonder if we might ever see anything related to Dexter again. Sure enough, the answer is yes! Marvel has decided to create a comic book miniseries following the series finale of Dexter. The story will continue after the end of the series with this one being called Dexter Down Under.
Dexter creator Jeff Lindsay will be returning to continue the story, and Marvel had this to say about Dexter Down Under: “It’s a new, blood-soaked adventure starring Dexter Morgan, who isn’t just Miami’s #1 forensic blood splatter expert… he’s also a serial killer who targets other serial killers. When Dexter travels down under, he quickly discovers that sharks aren’t Australia’s only deadly predator.”
The series will have five issues total and Lindsay will once again work together with artist Dalibor Talajic, the pair previously worked together on a mini-series earlier this year. The series finale of Dexter aired this past September in the US and UK.
Dexter Down Under issue #1 will be out in February of 2014.
