The writer of Oscar winning Juno, Diablo Cody, has teamed up with Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage for Fox’s new show, Prodigy.
This new teen drama follows a 16-year-old home-schooled genius who wants to experience a normal teenage life, so she enrolls in her local high school. Hollywood Reporter says, “Her experiment goes off the rails when she finds herself adopted by a wild crowd, getting caught up in a whirlwind of romance and crime.”
Cody will write the script for Schwartz’s and Savage’s Fake Empire Banner, whilst the pair will executive produce the show. Prodigy marks the first time Fox and Fake Banner have worked together since The O.C. premiered.
Cody is currently working on the pilot of her talk-show, Me Time With Diablo Cody. Diablo is currently writing and directing her new film Paradise. She also penned Jennifer’s Body and Young Adult.
