Peek Into Diana’s Origins In New ‘Wonder Woman’ Trailer

A new 'Wonder Woman' trailer has just dropped, showing more of Diana's origins before she took on the title of Wonder Woman.

It’s been a few months since we last got a Wonder Woman trailer (you can watch the first one here), but a new one has just been released, and it’s pretty cool! The first solo female superhero movie is out on June 2, 2017, and this new trailer is getting fans even more excited!

This is an origin movie, apparently, and literally so — as in this new trailer we see Diana as a child and as a teenager, training on the island of Themyscria and coming to learn about the outstanding power she has before travelling to London to defend the world. We’ll get to see how much she’s grown and how her powers have developed over her whole life, which will be very interesting. Even though we’ve already met Diana in the DCEU, I’m glad that we’re still getting an origin story now. She has a cool story, and it deserves to be told!

The cinematography looks fantastic here. The bright colours on the island compared to the dimness of London are very noticeable, making the contrast between Diana’s life very clear.

This movie looks like it will not be short on action. There are so many scenes of Diana in the midst of battle, using her hands, her sword, and her lasso, meaning no fight scene will be the same.

There’s also hints of humor, in a very likeable Thor-esque manner, where Diana is brutally uninformed and unprepared for regular human life in London. Considering that DC’s past live-action movies, aside from Suicide Squad, have been fairly humor-less and dry, I think the fact that they’re showing some lighter parts in the trailers is promising.

How cool is this new Wonder Woman trailer? Are you liking the island scenes or the London scenes more?
