A Digimon reuinion is underway! Fans around the world are on pins and needles with anticipation for the upcoming series Digimon Adventure tri, the sequel to Digimon Adventure 1 and 2. Early last week the official Digimon website released a promotional poster for the anime series with all 8 DigiDestined and their Digimon companions for the first time! Much to the fans' pleasure, all of the original voice actors of the Digimon partners will make a return to reprise their respective roles in the anime. The website also states that Kouji Wada will return to sing the original beloved theme song “Butter-Fly” and Ayumi Miyazaki is set to return with the original background track “Brave Heart”. With a phenomenal new artist on board, in addition to some of the cast and musical contributors from the original series, Digimon Adventure tri is building up mass amounts of hype for the series, set to debut sometime next month. With the voice cast so confirmed so far consisting of: Yuka Tokumitsu - Tailmon (Gatomon in English dub) Chika Sakamoto - Agumon Mayumi Yamaguchi - Gabumon Katori Shigematsu - Piyomon (Biyomon in English dub) Miwa Matsumoto - Patamon Kinoko Yamada - Palmon Takahiro Sakurai - Tentomon Junko Takeuchi - Gomamon Here’s hoping if (when) the anime is licensed for the US, they manage to take the time to do the classic series justice! It is currently unknown how many episodes will be attached to Digimon Adventure tri as of yet, but all of us Digimon fans will take what we can get!
