Legendary singer, songwriter, and cousin to the late Whitney Houston, Dionne Warwick, has given her thoughts and reflections on the recent passing of Houston and Bobby Brown’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown.
Warwick appeared on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live Sunday night (July 26) with host Andy Cohen just hours after learning Bobbi Kristina had passed, which Cohen commended.
“She’s a sweetheart,” Warwick said. “She will be missed, that’s for sure. She was a good girl.”
Cohen then followed up by asking how a family recovers from such a loss. Warwick answered, “It’s not easy, that’s for sure.”
The legendary Warwick continued, “I think it’s because of our faith and strength in faith, knowing that Bobbi is now with a much, much bigger and more powerful person — or thing, according to who or how you believe — than we’ll ever know. She’s in much better hands now.”
Warwick also released a statement to ET regarding Bobbi Kristina’s passing.
“Our family has had its share of sorrow these past few years and it is with a heavy heart that I have to once again say so long to a loved one,” she said this past Monday (July 27). “Bobbi is now sitting in the lap of our Heavenly Father and is now reunited with her beloved mother. She will be missed and I send many thanks for all of the prayers that were being said for her.”
