Managing EditorIt is one of the most beloved rides at Disney and has been associated with the Parks since Disneyland first opened in California. Guests board riverboats and are taken on an adventure down some of the major rivers of Asia, Africa and South America with a live Disney cast member pointing out all the exotic wildlife that passes their way. Now the folks from Walt Disney Imagineering have a little Christmas surprise in store for guests over the holidays: The Jingle Cruise. Next month, the Jungle Cruise Adventureland attraction at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland will undergo a holiday makeover, transforming into the Jingle Cruise. Not only that but the storyline adventure will have an added holiday twist, though still abound with those cheesy Jungle Cruise gags. According to Inside the Magic, the new story is as follows: “Skippers have grown homesick for the holidays, so they’ve added holiday cheer to the Jungle Cruise queue and boathouse with decorations that have been mailed to them from home (plus a few they’ve created themselves).” Along with the new themed gags, a special radio broadcast has also been created and the boats will be given new names. The Jingle Cruise begins boarding early November.
