Disney’s Cinderella Gets Its First Trailer

Disney isn’t premiering Cinderella before March of 2015, but the first trailer for the upcoming film has now arrived.

There’s no stopping Disney when it comes to its Disney Princesses franchises. Strong after the release of the villain-centric Sleeping Beauty remake, Maleficent, the company is preparing to drop a revamped film for Cinderella and the very first trailer has now arrived.

Walt Disney Pictures is not missing time when it comes to creating hype for upcoming projects. Even though Cinderella won’t arrive before early in the spring of 2015, the promotion has begun with the release of the very first look at the film. The trailer introduces us to Ella, the beautiful girl whose mother passes away and has to live with her evil step-mother and her two daughters. Despite her hard time at the house, the well-known fairy godmother appears and gets her to go to the bowl, where she dances with the prince and spends time with him until midnight – all classic elements from the fairytale included!

The Kenneth Branagh-directed Cinderella stars Lily James of Downtown Abbey fame in the role of Ella, while Cate Blanchett plays her step-mother, with Helena Bonham Carter and Richard Madden (Game Of Thrones‘ Robb Stark) surrounding their performance. With Moana, Finding Dory, Toy Story 4 and The Incredibles 2 on the way in the coming years, Disney is totally offering fans one hell of a cinematic experience!

Cinderella is scheduled to open in theaters on March 13, 2015. Check out the trailer below.
