Last month, DJ Avicii released his first single, “Wake Me Up”, off his upcoming debut album. It’s reached number one on the charts in the UK and is making its way up the US charts. And it sounds like Avicii has a lot in store for us with his upcoming album.

The Swedish DJ was ranked #3 in last year’s Top 100 DJs by DJ Magazine. He revealed to Digital Spy, who he is collaborating with on the album.

On one track, we can expect to hear the guitar skills of Nile Rodgers and 8th season American Idol runner up, Adam Lambert.

According to Avicii, it will sound “very disco.”

In addition, he has Imagine Dragons coming on one of his tracks.

“I did another with Imagine Dragons that’s almost orchestral and classical. I then have one that’s funky, one that’s jazzy, one that’s rocky and another that’s blues orientated.”

While the different collabs sound a little eclectic and different, Avicci said that it all made sense to him.

“It’s kind of all over the place. It’s a fusion, but when you listen to the whole album it makes sense. It sounds like it’s going to be weird, but the final product is what I got so excited about. “

DJ Avicii definitely sounds like he is bringing a new style to the genre of EDM.

The album, entitled #TRUE is set to release this year on September 13th.
