If you finally got Disney's hit song "Let It Go" to stop playing on repeat in your head, I have some scary news for you. Get ready for the high notes, frosty scenery, and insightful message to storm up once again! Disney recently announced that Frozen will be making its way to the Broadway stage. The super-couple and creative minds behind the score for Frozen, Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, are reportedly working alongside Frozen director Jennifer Lee to create the stage adaption. There is no set date for its release as the team is in no hurry. Disney Chairman Bob Iger stated, “We’re not demanding speed. We’re demanding excellence.” When Frozen debuted in November 2013, it grossed over $1.2 billion, making it the most successful animated film ever. It won the Academy Award for Best Song for “Let it Go,” which Idina Menzel performed at the 2014 Oscars. The music reached No. 1 on the billboard charts, further making history as the fourth animated film soundtrack to do so. While Frozen was directed towards an audience of young girls, it has expanded its target age and entered the hearts of millions. There is no doubt the upcoming Broadway adaption will further its success.
