For years Dr. Mehmet Oz has been seen as sort of a medical miracle doctor, but it seems his reputation could be crumbling around him.
Yesterday, Dr. Oz made his way to Congress to address the Senate’s consumer protection panel. At center stage were the weight loss products that he touts on his show, including green coffee bean products.
With these claims, the good doctor has found his name intertwined with all sorts of different companies, and his face has become the face of a weight loss revolution…or has it?
Here’s the problem. All of these companies are using his image to sell their products and it’s working. At the same time, most, if not all, of these products don’t work as they are advertised. In fact, some of these companies are even being sued.
What does Dr. Oz have to say about all of this? “If you see my name, face or show in any type of ad, email, or other circumstance, it’s illegal.”
