This is it, Gleeks!  The last episode of season five.  It is called "The Untitled Rachel Berry Project" and has been surrounded in controversy.  Ready for it?  I am! We begin with the screenwriter coming to see Rachel for her upcoming show.  Knock at the door, and it's Brittany S. Pierce!!!  Santana's absence is explained away by saying she is on a commercial shoot for Yeast-I-Stat in Iowa.  The screenwriter, Mary Halloran comes in… and she is a little strange. They start writing and Mary asks Rachel about her life and she starts off with her gay dads and Mary is excited, but thinks the glee club, also part of her life, is boring. We then join Mercedes and the rest of the crew as she is on her "Park and Bark" (the name of her new album) tour of shopping malls.  She feels absolutely amazing and Brittany has been hired as a backup dancer.  Mercedes sings an original song called "Shakin' My Head.”  (It's a rockin' tune like most of the things Mercedes sings.) Next scene shows Blaine and June preparing for his show.  She is planning a guest list but Blaine is concerned about Kurt.  June is still not bending on allowing him in the show.  Blaine is a bit down and sings "All of Me" by John Legend.  (It's beautiful.)  During the song, Kurt walks in.  Blaine admits Kurt is not in the showcase, and Kurt realizes Blaine has been lying.  It's not good. Sam is then shown at the modeling agency.  There is some opportunity for work but he has to be able to turn on the agent to get the job.  He sings "Girls on Film" by Duran Duran.  (It's hot. The agent seems to think so too.)  He gets the shoot. Speaking of Sam, Rachel, Brittany and Kurt are at Mercedes' house when she comes in and Blaine and Artie are with Sam.  They both ask if maybe it's time for the two of them to break up because of their careers. Sam and Mercedes resist. Mary, the screenwriter, gets together with the crew.  First, she meets with Artie (Now that I think about it, she is kind of the female Artie...they even kind of look alike.) then with Blaine and Brittany.  After they are done, Kurt, Brittany and Rachel are talking about the possibility of a show and Kurt is worried that Rachel is making a mistake...but the show must go on and next we see the whole group doing a read through of the newly written script.  They all have a part, but Blaine is Slaine, Kurt is Cert, like the breath mint, et cetera, et cetera. OH NO!  All of a sudden, Brittany and Blaine are in bed together...did they sleep together?  OH NO!  They did.  Wait, is this part of the script? Oh phew...it is. Basically, this show within the show sucks and Rachel decides she needs to take it into her own hands. Next scene, Kurt and Blaine are talking on the steps.  Blaine says he doesn't want to do the showcase. Kurt says he isn't mad anymore and Blaine should just do the showcase. He trusts him and loves him through everything.  (Why can't I find a relationship like this???) Mary and Rachel are then shown at the diner.  Rachel is talking to Mary that she isn't sure the show is right. Rachel says that she wants to explain herself through song and she sings "Glitter in the Air" by P!nk. (I like it, Mary seems entranced by it.)  Mary decides to re-write the script in order to reflect Rachel better. DAYUM… we next see Sam at his modeling shoot.  (*drool* the agent doesn't feel the same.) She tries a new approach, and things really get steamy...very steamy...  (I think I stopped breathing for a second)... then they kiss.  And, before you can even get your head around what just happens, we see Sam walking into the house and Mercedes is there presenting cupcakes to him.  He immediately admits that he kissed the agent.  Mercedes totally understands, but she has been thinking about it.  She doesn't think that they should keep seeing each other because she doesn't want Sam to have to wait. He agrees but is reluctant.  *sigh* The next scene goes to Blaine and June.  They are in the showcase and singing "No Time at All" from the musical, Pippin.  During the encore, June and Kurt have a bit of a catfight, then Blaine sings again… and he dedicates the song to Kurt.  They sing "American Boy" by Estelle feat.  Kanye West (June is stunned, I am too in some ways.  I can think of so many songs that would be better in this situation, but I am not the creators or writers of Glee.)  June eventually comes around and says Blaine proved her wrong. In the last few minutes of the episode, the group is back in the loft, reading through the new version of the script for Rachel's show.  They love it and toast...then Sam runs out of the room.  Turns out his body is plastered on the side of a bus thanks to his modeling shoot.  They are all very proud of him and he says he's done with modeling because his dream came true. Instead, he says he is going back to Ohio.  It's the end of an era and they could all be scattered across the country. They make a pact to come back together in 6 months in New York.  They sing "Pompeii" by Bastille.  During the song, things happen.  Mercedes packs for her tour.  Sam goes back to McKinley, Blaine moves in with Kurt and Rachel gets a call.  They want to make a pilot for the script and she has to go to L.A. No real cliffhanger in my opinion, just a calm, happy ending for season 5.  What did you think Gleeks?  Let us know in the comments, below. Keep Up With PopWrapped On The Web!
