Wrestling phenomenon turned movie star Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has been reported to have gotten another TNT reality show. Johnson’s first reality show, The Hero, premiered in the Summer of 2013.
The former WWE megastar will feature in a new series called Wake Up Call, which will see Johnson making 4am wake-up calls to people who are in need of help with difficulties in their lives. Johnson will also be co-producing the reality series with Electus, 7 Bucks Entertainment and 5×5 Media. According to Deadline, eight episodes have been ordered by TNT.
TNT executive David Eilenberg said: “We had a wonderful time working with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson on The Hero… Wake Up Call evolved from our experience on The Hero and is its natural successor, bringing the human spirit of that show home to take on everyday challenges.”
Wake Up Call is set to premiere in 2014.
