Dancing With The Stars: Double Elimination

The first of the season, & unfortunately it happened tonight. “Dancing with the Stars” said goodbye to 2 couples tonight in the first double elimination

The time had come.

No, RuPaul wasn’t here to ask anyone to lip sync for their lives.

It was time for this weeks results of “Dancing with the Stars”, which meant it was time for the dreaded double elimination.

Tonight’s reveal would give us our semi-finalists, and following last weeks shocker of Willow Shields and Mark Ballas getting the boot, it was anyone’s guess as to who would be going home.

Looking at the scores, you had to think that Chris Soules and Witney as well as Robert Herjavec and Kym would be the couples saying goodbye….

But you never know with this show!!!

Following the judges’ pick for the encore (Rumer/Val/Artem) there were performances to get to, and results that needed to be shared.

Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews wasted no time, and Rumer Willis and Val were up first to find out their fate, and to the shock of NO ONE, they’re heading to the semi-finals!!!

Okay, this was a great start to the night, so let’s hope there weren’t any more surprises.

The results came fast & furious after more recap, and Chris and Witney were up next.

Unfortunately (but not shockingly) the couple were the first up in jeopardy, and would have to wait it out before discovering their fate.

Time for a break in the competition as Canadian  sweetheart Carly Rae Jepsen took the stage to perform her chart topping single “I Really Really Like You”. Lots of fun energy from Carly, even if the vocal was…..

Meh.

Two more couples were ready to hear their scores, and it was time for the FIRST elimination of the night.

Noah Galloway and Sharna faced off against Robert and Kym, and in the 8th week of competition, the eliminated couple was…..

Robert and Kym.

We’re 1 for 2 here people. Sure it’s sad whenever a couple leaves, but we’re getting closer to that Mirror Ball trophy.

Tom and Erin were going to hurt us possibly with this last piece of the elimination puzzle, with the final two couples ready to hear their fate.

Riker Lynch and Allison as well as Nastia Liukin and Derek readied to hear the results, and unfortunately Riker/Allison were in jeopardy.

This……BOTHERS ME.

Immensely.

Let’s just see what happens.

In an attempt to take my mind off of the upcoming results, musical superstar Josh Groban serenaded us all with a STELLAR rendition of “Over the Rainbow” while Sia protege’ and dancing superstar Maddie Ziegler took to the dance floor. Absolutely stunning performance from everyone involved.

Okay…..here we are.

Last week saw some murder on the dance floor with Willow and Mark going home, would the same thing happen twice to my beloved Team Rallison?

Tom and Erin announced…..

Chris and Witney were going home.

Can’t even lie?

I danced. In my living room. And possibly screamed.

Okay I did.

What did YOU think of tonight’s results?
