In an astounding surprise move on Sony’s part during the company’s E3 2014 press conference, they revealed sudden downloadable content for inFAMOUS: Second Son in the form of a completely new storyline and set of missions.

The new mode will revolve around the story of neon light-infused protagonist Fetch, and is aptly entitled inFAMOUS: First Light.

The trailer doesn’t show much in terms of gameplay, but what it does show is oh-so-sweet. Considering the spunkiness of the character involved, the story itself should be a joy to unfold in and of itself.

Those hankering for some new super hero action won’t have to look much further than Second Son when the First Light DLC hits the PlayStation Network this August.

Oh, and by the way? This DLC is standalone, meaning that you won’t need to own Second Son to play it, unlike, say, Freedom Cry and how it’s paired to Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.

Nice touch.
