It's that wonderful time of year when E3 sets my heart strumming. I'm already elated about the Final Fantasy VII remake and new Playstation 4, but EA's announcement had my grin even further extended. At their E3 meeting, EA announced the new Mass Effect game Mass Effect: Andromeda. You have to watch this beautiful trailer to fully understand my unbridled excitement:
Mass Effect is something I am a little bit addicted to. I especially love number two, but felt pretty let down by the third installment so I'm pretty happy to hear that Mass Effect: Andromeda is going to be an entirely new story. Everyone already knew that it wasn't going to be a prequel or a sequel, thanks to that tweet from Chris Wynn (one of the senior developers for the Mass Effect games) earlier in the year:https://twitter.com/The1Wynn/status/605384357285609472
Still it's exciting to hear it officially announced. It's scheduled to be hitting the shelves for the 2016 holidays, so there is still some time to claw up more information. What we do know is that it will be made in the Frostbite game engine like the other Mass Effect games, and that the focus is on PC gamers and current gen console users. EA and Bioware are promising more details toward the end of the year since the game is still in development. For now all we can do is marvel at these beautiful character designs, as seen above.
