Season 5 of The Voice is a little over a month away and one new musical advisor has already been revealed. English singer-songwriter, Ed Sheeran, will be teaming up with returning coach, Christina Aguilera.
With hit songs like “The A Team” and “Kiss Me,” a hit album and writing songs for Taylor Swift and One Direction, Sheeran has proven to be a very talented musician. His sound and mesmerizing lyrics have made many people fall in love with his music, using his songs as the soundtrack of their lives.
Past advisors for Team Xtina include Jewel, Lionel Richie and Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong – Sheeran will be in good company. According to the Huffington Post, Sheeran is set to appear during the Battle Rounds of the reality singing competition, airing October 14 and 15.
Last season, Aguilera, along with Cee-Lo Green, took a break from the hit NBC competition show. Shakira and Usher took their places joining Adam Levine and Blake Shelton and are expected to return for the 6th season.
While we wait to hear who will join Levine, Shelton and Green as mentors, what do you think of Christina’s choice?
Season 5 of The Voice is set to premiere on September 23rd.
