First was the announcement of the Sherlock box-set and now we have the upcoming release of a complete blu-ray box-set of Matt Smith’s run as the Eleventh Doctor on the hit series Doctor Who. It looks like by the end of the year I’ll have no money left.
With a retail price of about $148.95 for the 16 disc box-set, Doctor Who: The Complete Matt Smith Years will be available for purchase on November 4th, 2014. This massive set will contain series 5, 6 and 7 as well as the series specials which include “The Day of the Doctor” and “The Time of the Doctor” as well as the 50th anniversary drama “An Adventure in Time and Space”.
Those of you who miss Smith or consider him your “favorite doctor” (much like myself) will be beyond excited for this impressive release. Binge watching this set will help ease the pain of Smith’s departure. Smith replaced Tennant in 2010 before handing down the regeneration torch to the current doctor, who is fantastically played by the eccentric Peter Capaldi.
