Saturday Night Live is certainly choosing a very diverse and interesting crop of hosts for its landmark 41st season. One of the most beloved comedic character actresses working today, Elizabeth Banks, is finally getting the chance to host television's biggest comedy show.
Banks, who will be hosting on November 14th, will be making her first hosting gig on Saturday Night Live, only one week after Donald Trump treads the boards of Studio 8H.
It has become a regular fixture for a performer from the Hunger Games franchise to host and promote the films. In January 2013, Jennifer Lawrence hosted (promoting The Hunger Games), followed by Josh Hutcherson (promoting The Hunger Games: Catching Fire) in November 2013, and, then, in November 2014, Woody Harrelson hosted (promoting The Hunger Games: Mockingjay: Part 1). My money was on Donald Sutherland this year, but Banks is a brilliant choice, as well.
Make sure you catch Banks' sure-to-be iconic SNL appearance on November 14th, with musical guest Disclosure.
