Earlier this week, Dancing with the Stars
contestants revealed to the audience their “Most Memorable Year of My Life.”
One particularly memorable dance was Elizabeth Berkley and Val Chmerkovskiy’s jive to pay tribute to her past to her Saved By The Bell
In their dance, Berkley
and Chmerkovskiy reenacted Jessie Spano’s caffeine pill addiction storyline and fused it into the jive.
Not only was it one of the best dances of the night, but also it received strong remarks from the judges.
Carrie Ann Inaba added: “Thank you for taking me back into a time warp to some of the best times of my life.” While Len added that her kicks were “sharp, clean and exact.”
Berkley also received support from former cast mate Mario Lopez (AC Slater) who cheered on from the sidelines, while Zack Morris himself (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) tweeted his support.
While the couple earned a 26-out-of-30 for their routine, Berkley told Life & Style Weekly
that the routine was dedicated to the fans.
“It was really fun. We’ve done a lot of sexy, serious and emotional dances. But we also have a great sense of humor, so we wanted it to be celebratory tonight,” said Berkley. “I wanted to show my gratitude for the fans that have been following the show for a long time because they asked for this.”
Berkley and Chmerkovskiy will take on the Cha-Cha-Cha next week!
