Elizabeth Olsen is most known for her acting roles in the movies Silent House, Liberal Arts, and Martha Marcy May Marlene. Other than acting in films she’s probably more known for the being the younger sister of the dynamic twin duo of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.
Olsen recently spoke out to Dazed and Confused about her dislike of how some actors choose to work in the business.
"Sometimes I can’t stand the bulls**t of actors. You know, when they’re more interested in ‘getting in the zone’ than they are about showing up and doing their job and remembering that film is a group activity. When you’re an actor, it’s not about you. It’s about a team.”
She also spoke to them about something sentimental she did for her family when she was in middle school.
"I’m obsessed with teams,” she said. “When I was in sixth grade, I realized that mine and my siblings’ initials spelled the word ‘TEAM’. T-rent, E-lizabeth, A-shley, and M-ary-Kate. So I bought us all little trinkets that said ‘TEAM’ so we could always remember that.”
Her skeptical thinking about how some actors work hasn’t stopped her from being very interested in working with a certain actor in Hollywood. This actor would be Robert Downey Jr.
"I would do anything with him! If he was part of a project and I could be in any scene with him, I would do it hands down. He’s so talented, and so smart. You just don’t have that kind of humor unless you’re smart."
She also talked about why she considers Michelle Pfeiffer to be her role model.
"Best Catwoman ever. Also, she is able to exude sexuality without being written off as dumb. You look at her and think ‘F**k, she’s sexy, but she’s not sexy and stupid, she’s sexy and owns it because she’s smarter than everybody else in the room."
Olsen’s next film role is Edie Parker in the film Kill Your Darlings, with Daniel Radcliffe, Dane DeHaan, and Michael C. Hall. You can check her out in this film when it hits theatres on October 18, 2013 in the U.S. and November 8, 2013 in the U.K.
