Ellie Goulding Breathes New Life Into Timberlake Hit

Shelby Arnold

I don’t think Ellie Goulding can do anything wrong.

Yesterday, the blonde English singer performed a stripped down version of Justin Timberlake’s Mirrors for BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge and it’s really catchy. Entertainment Wise called it a ‘breath of fresh air’ and I’m inclined to agree.  The pop singer has always been light and airy when it comes to singing songs.

The performance marks the start of the station’s Live Lounge Specials for their Even More Music month. The shows will take place every day midday from Tuesday the
3rd until Thursday the 23rd.

Goulding recently released Haylcon Days, a repackaging of her newest album which also features brand new songs including her song ‘Burn’.

'Burn' has climbed the charts and is now in its third week at number one after knocking Avicii's song 'Wake Me Up' out of the top spot.

Some other artists tapped to play Fearne Cotton’s Live Longue sessions are Jessie J, Kings Of Leon, Rizzle Kicks and Justin Timberlake.

Here’s the complete list of performers and dates:

The 1975 - September 4
Queens Of The Stone Age - September 5
