Rainbow Brite was a very successful animated television series back in the 80's, and it looks like a new generation is going to meet her! A new cartoonhas been confirmed!
Reportedly, Rainbow Brite is returning to the small screen with a brand-new animated series. The character with magic powers will once again go on an adventure to save her beloved Rainbowland from evil. Feeln, responsible for the reboot, will also have Starlite and the Color Kids returning to the show. Emily Osment and Molly Ringwald will star as the leading voice actresses, lending their talents to Rainbow Brite and The Dark Princess, respectively. Osment said of her role:
"Being cast as the voice of Rainbow Brite for the relaunch of this iconic show is truly an honor. I look forward to connecting with the audience, old and new, and going on this exciting adventure together."
Rainbow Brite is more than 30 years old, with the show originally running from 1984 to 1986. The reboot is scheduled to kick off on November 30. Take a look at the trailer below.
