Eminem has never been on to shy away from his troubled past, and has recently opened up about going down “another path.” Eminem, known for songs like “Lose Yourself” and “Love the Way You Lie,” has spoken about his previous addiction to sleeping pills, admitted that he has never tried to seek attention as a celebrity. Eminem, whose real name is Marshal Mathers,  recently opened up more about his battle with addiction in an interview with Zane Lowe on Radio 1. Eminem explained that he is in full recovery after spending time in 2005 at a hospital to get treatment for his addiction. He further explained, "I certainly could have taken another path I know that there are so many addicts in this world and people who have problems like that that don't make it." Although he is quick to credit his incredible passion for music “keeps pushing me forward... so I am thankful for that." While the original Slim Shady has been a hit maker for quite some time, he sometimes has trouble dealing with the fame, "I've never been an attention seeker. “I don't like to go in public and walk around and be like, 'Here I am'." Even though he is not an attention seeking musician, he certainly garners a great deal of devotion from fans and critics alike. Eminem’s eight and most recent album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, skyrocketed to number on in the UK upon its release in November 5, and only recently got demoted from iTunes number one spot to the number two spot by The Hunger Games: Catching Fire soundtrack. Among other collaborations for this new album Eminem again worked with Rihanna to produce the song “The Monster. “ Listen to it below, and tell us what you think!   [youtube=]
