The script isn’t even written yet, but Nicholas Cage, Emma Stone and Ryan Reynolds have put their hands up to take part in the sequel to The Croods, tentatively titled The Croods 2.
“There’s not much to talk about yet because we’ve got a big lump of clay and we’re forming it as we speak,” director Chris Sanders told Coming Soon.
Co-Director Kirk DeMicco promised, “[There will be] lots of good creatures. We’ve got creatures that never for into the first movie. We’re going to take a very, very close look at those.”
The Croods tells the story of a caveman family who, after their cave is destroyed, must embark on an adventure into a strange, spectacular and dangerous Stone Age world.
Currently sitting at the ninth most profitable movie of 2013, The Croods has taken over $585million at the box office worldwide and will be available on DVD and Blu-ray on October 1.
