The Emmy Awards were last night, and we here at PopWrapped love a good spectacle!

Game Of Thrones was the biggest winner of the night, setting the record for Emmy wins with 12 awards in one night, including Outstanding Drama Series.

History was made when Viola Davis became the first black woman to win the Emmy for Lead Actress/Drama for her role in How To Get Away With Murder. Uzo Aduba added to the celebration with a win for Supporting Actress/Drama for Orange Is The New Black. Jon Hamm finally scored big for Mad Men, taking home the award for Lead Actor/Drama.

Amy Poehler has been entirely shut out for her role in the now-concluded Parks And Recreation, losing out to Julia Louis-Dreyfus for Veep for the Lead Actress/Comedy Emmy. The Daily Show With Jon Stewart beat out fellow former-Comedy Central late night mate The Colbert Report for a couple of statues, as well.
