Katherine Heigl will most likely be making a TV comeback sometime soon. She’s looking to return to prime time as the lead role in a CIA themed drama.
The currently untitled show is being shopped around the big networks, with NBC as the strongest contender. The series is written by Alexi Hawley (supervising producer on The Following), with Heigl and her mother Nancy Heigl as executive producers.
Heigl would take on the role of an adviser or communications liaison for the United States president, and the storylines would focus on CIA operations around the world.
Since leaving the hit series Grey’s Anatomy three and a half years ago, Heigl has appeared in a few not-so-successful films, but her comeback might be just around the corner.
Meanwhile, we’ll have to wait for a network to attach itself to the show before we see Katherine back in our screens.
