Bec Heim Managing Editor Hello all! IT’S THE FINAL FIVE! Yes it’s down to five contestants on The Voice. There will be no Instant Saves this week. Three members of Team Adam remain while Christina and Blake each have one. It’s anyone’s game except Cee-Lo’s at this point. So Blake is either young Santa, Mountain Man, or a member of ZZ Top. “Best Day Of My Life” sung by The Voice Top 5: Will and James sound good. OHMYGOD COLE WHAT DID THEY DO TO YOU? Tessanne and Jacquie sound fine. The harmonies aren’t as bad as they usually are in group numbers. Seriously poor Cole. OhmyGod this sounds good and bad. Actually it’s bad because of Cole’s glitchy mic from Hell. It’s ruining everything. “With Or Without You” sung by James Wolpert: Everyone is having breakfast together. It’s really sweet. Adam wants something anthemic from James and wants him to study the Bono bravado in the song. I like the background with the swirling ink blotches? It’s super cool. This is a really good song. James has the right instances of power punctuated with some quiet moments. It’s a good choice for his voice. I also liked the dreamy vibe from the song as a whole. Adam doesn’t even care about winning because that performance was James winning something important. Christina was happy to hear it be sung and thought it was a good job. Blake says it is a favorite song and he needed the moment to establish himself again. “Carry On” sung by Will Champlin: Oh the team is at Adam’s house. Adam wants them to swing for the fences. Tessanne calls him a walking instrument. I love this song! This is a great song choice for Will. Adam says that Will has to commit and says that it symbolizes his journey. Adam wants Will to release control. I like the cold opening. It’s very grand and lovely and quiet. It makes those notes where he gets convicted even cooler. It’s like punctuation with his voice. It’s just this awesome build up. He kind of slips toward the end a bit to my ear. Just a smidge. But it’s a very wonderful performance overall. It was great. Adam loves that Will is smiling because it means he thinks he did well. Adam is delighted that he had fun. Cee-Lo loves Will’s swaggy-ness and thought it was a well-executed performance. Blake was wrapped up in it and loved seeing that smile. “Angel” sung by Jacquie Lee: Oh dear. Christina wants Jacquie to be tender and quiet. That is never good for her. OH GOD THIS SONG! Look if you like that’s fine. But seriously. No. I’m thinking of those commercials with those abused animals. That is all I’m thinking about here. That’s all I will ever think bout no matter the candles or the performance. The falsetto is a little off to me. So much for quiet and tender as Jacquie goes totally Christina in her performance. It’s not bad. It really isn’t. But it sounds like the same thing that Jacquie keeps on giving us. Which honestly is probably what Christina wanted. I just don’t think it’s good for the song. Again this song choice was bad. Christina was blown away and is left speechless. Christina said that she won tonight in her heart. Cee-Lo thought it was perfect and sincere. “Shameless” sung by Cole Vosbury: Cole, Blake, and Cee-Lo have a bro-spa day out. So Cole gets two coaches for the price of one. Blake gives him a multi-faceted Garth Brooks song written by Billy Joel. Cole is feeling some pressure because its go big or go home. Oh Cole baby. I love Cole. But I don’t think this is the right song. He’s goes deep and rumbly and then he was a bit sharp. It’s even out a bit. Oh dear he messed up there too. I don’t know about that performance. Blake thinks that Cole has figured out who he is. Cee-Lo thought it was another great job and thought it was very special. “Bridge Over Troubled Water” sung by Tessanne Chin: Adam can only cook egg. Tessanne is totally the Mom of Team Adam and it’s super cute. She gets emotional during the song and needs to be emotionally connected. She wants to be emotionally honest. Adam says that last note has to be packed in. Oh Tessanne. Several notes in and already I’m choked up. She’s emotionally moved and that gets me emotionally connected. Oh that burst of power is perfection. It’s absolutely gorgeous. Adam looks ready to cry. I’m already dabbing my eyes a bit. HOLY SHIT THAT NOTE! THAT LAST NOTE! OHMYGOD! If she is not in the finals I will be SHOCKED. The audience is losing their minds. Adam is legitimately speechless and is so emotionally invested. Apparently Tessanne is going through somethings that were edited out. It’s flawless. Blake thought it was truly beautiful and liked her as a person. I don’t know guys. I think that it may be Team Adam in the finals. Or Jacquie and two members of Team Adam. http://www.Twitter.com/PopWrapped https://pop-wrapped.tumblr.com http://www.SoundCloud.com/PopWrapped http://www.Facebook.com/PopWrapped http://www.Instagram.com/PopWrapped http://www.Pinterest.com/PopWrapped http://www.YouTube.com/PopWrapped https://pop-wrapped.wordpress.com http://www.PopWrapped.com
