Summit Entertainment is all set to present its next potential franchise, Ender’s Game, at San Diego Comic-Con International! The panel will include the movie’s director, Gavin Hood, and its stars: Harrison Ford, Asa Butterfield, Hailee Steinfeld and Abigal Breslin all promised to be in attendance. Missing, however, will be author of the classic science fiction novel, Orson Scott Card.
The controversial writer has in the past been very vocal over his virulent anti-gay opinions, and was recently the cause of public outcry and media frenzy when DC announced him to be working on future Superman comics. The Hugo and Nebula-Award-winning Novelist, and key player in the sci-fi-fantasy world, has since been effectively dropped from playing any part in the Ender’s Game promotional campaign - an important one for Summit now that The Twilight Saga phenomenon is ended.
Ender’s Game is set to debut in US cinemas November 1, but will be released in the UK October 25.
