For those of us who grew up in the '90s, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles films were something of a childhood memory for us, including myself. You may remember actor Ernie Reyes Jr.'s appearance in the second film as Keno, the martial artist teen who befriends the turtles.
Sadly, however, Ernie is currently fighting for his life, as his family has reported that the actor is suffering from kidney failure and is in need of a kidney transplant.
His sister Destiny Reyes released this statement on their fundraising page, which the family set up in order to help Ernie with his medical bills:
"Thank you for taking a moment to see why and how you can make a difference. My brother, Ernie Reyes Jr., was recently in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) fighting for his life suffering from kidney failure. Ernie is currently undergoing dialysis treatment 3 times per week for 4 hours a day while waiting for a kidney transplant. This is a very challenging time not only for Ernie Jr.'s immediate family, but a challenging time for our family as well."
So far, $53,841 has been contributed and I'm sure that number will continue to rise.

Our thoughts are with Ernie, and we're wishing him a speedy recovery.
