Content EditorI know we're all pumped to see David Tenant return as the Tenth Doctor in the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special, but it's doubtful anyone is more excited than Tennant himself. The Scottish actor says he was "thrilled" to make his comeback in "Day of the Doctor" later this month. Tennant also explained to Digital Spy that fans always knew he'd don the trademark Chucks again: "I think since I left, the expectation had been that I'd end up in this special, because there is a precedent for old Doctors coming back for a visit around the anniversary time." The self-proclaimed Whovian went on to describe his hopes for this "huge" television event. In doing so, Tennant recalled being a fan when another anticipated Doctor Who reunion aired: "I certainly remember when 'The Five Doctors' was on, it was electrically exciting...I hope that this [50th special] will have some of that buzz for today's generation." We think it's safe to say "Day of the Doctor" will live up to that hope, given the fact it's being simulcast and screened in select movie theaters worldwide. Can't wait for November 23 to see "Day of the Doctor"? Well, lucky for you, the BBC just launched an exciting new interactive website at www.doctorwhosavetheday.com. Whovians who visit the site can unlock five clips from the special by uploading their own content - fan art, videos, stories, and the like. re-releasing the single in honor of the show's 50th anniversary, but with a special update. The track has been re-dubbed "Dr Who? (Time Waits for No Man)" by Mankind vs Dos Amigoz featuring Diane Charlemagne. It has accordingly been given a more timely feel as well as the new name. "Dr Who?" came out in 1978 to celebrate Doctor Who's fifteenth anniversary and actually peaked at #12 on the UK singles chart. Mankind will be releasing leasing the single on the 18th in the form of a jam-packed collector's edition, which will come in both 12-inch vinyl and on CD. The vinyl version will be sold within a translucent blue sleeve and will be accompanied by some pretty cool photos - never before published photos of Tom Baker, the 5th Doctor, at the first-even Doctor Who convention in the United States. It will also be available for download along with the album Space, Time and Beyond. Wherever you are in the world, be sure to tune in for "Day of the Doctor" on November 23!
