Drawing North are looking to make 2016 their year. The quintet, made up of Michael Po, Ethan Sharp, Chad Barnier, Jake Allen and Drew Southwell, have already played a 40 date school tour in their home country of Australia -- as well receiving endorsement and support from Good Charlotte's Joel Madden after they released some acoustic material.
They are also becoming festival regulars, having slots at Australia Celebrates live and Vans Warped Tour Australia. However, in 2016, the band are looking to a bigger and brighter future that should hopefully see them travel more overseas and delight their growing army of fans.
The band have just signed with Universal Music Australia and have a new album, El Dorado, due out later in the year. PopWrapped are delighted to premiere their latest single, entitled "Fire Eyes."
Asked about the track, the band describe it by saying:
"The song was written about a strong relationship and one half being burned by betrayal. The lyric and title, "fire eyes," was taken as a reflection of the intensity of the relationship and the betrayal that followed. Being through a few tough break ups we wanted to tell a story about the intensity that surrounds cheating and betrayal."
Drawing North create music perfect for the radio airwaves or to play at full volume in your car or bedroom, and "Fire Eyes" is no exception. It's powerful, catchy and most certainly worthy of putting on repeat and singing along to.
