With their full length album From Cocoon due out later this week, Flight of Ryan are giving their fans another taste of what to expect from it with the release of their latest track, "The Twilight," which PopWrapped are thrilled to premiere.
The quartet from Arizona, Sam Voas, Anthony Wallace, Danny Pabst and Colin Bresnahan, have, since forming in 2012, continued to evolve and work hard towards finding the right sound and style for them. With the release of their new single, it's safe to say they've found it.
Asked to sum up what "The Twilight" is about, drummer Anthony Wallace says:
"The Twilight" is a reflection on the paradoxical nature of consciousness: the inadequacy of language, the futile nature of explanation. Specifically, it was inspired by the strange state of being between awake and asleep. Life is hard to explain, so sometimes its better to give that project up and just live."
With a heavy electro feel, the song brings with it a new kind of energy, strongly lacking in many of today's chart hits, but when such is combined with a simple, easy to learn chorus, it transcends into something that, with any luck, should fill dance halls and concert venues everywhere when blasted from the speakers.
From Cocoon is out December 11th and will be available on iTunes. https://soundcloud.com/flightofryan-1/the-twilight-2/s-K7MOB
