Exclusive: Ideomotor Share Remix For “Away From Here”

Hailing from Helsinki in Finland, , Erkka Wennonen and Kimmo Myllviita, AKA Ideomotor, have shared their love of music with one another since becoming firm friends in their teens. However, despite such a close friendship, it took Kimmo moving to Switzerland and the pair sharing a pint in the airport for the two to realise the power that their united passion for music could have. Fortunately, upon making said realization in 2014, they’ve never looked back.

Their sound is heavily influenced by a multitude of genres, mixing rock, pop, indie, and electro, and has helped the pair to produce music that presents itself as sweet, soft, and melodic or eerie, haunting, and dark — few artists can juggle both styles quite like Ideomotor can.

Their latest track, “Away From Here”, works as evidence of the duo’s creativity, combining simple lyrics with strong musicianship, and PopWrapped are delighted to premiere its remix.

The remix was created by respected writer and producer ILARI, who is one half of the Finnish synth pop duo White Balance.
