Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, songstress Katja Glieson is an exciting voice on the pop music scene. With a passion for music that can be traced back to her earliest years, the rising hitmaker is poised to make a big impact with her soaring vocals and positive message in 2016.
Katja first appeared on the scene playing a frosty Princess Elsa in YouTuber Whitney Avalon's first Princess Rap Battle. Her performance was commended for it's witty lyricism and impressive flow, and it opened the door for her musical career. Since the video went viral in 2014 (it recently surpassed 100 million hits), Glieson has hit the studio and emerged with a glittering arsenal of hits.
The Australian artist partnered up with Doctors Hospital to release the inspirational song "Shooting Star," which encouraged listeners to live a healthy life and foster loving relationships. Glieson followed up by releasing her solo effort "Ride The Wave." The track paid tribute to her Australian roots by incorporating the didgeridoo in the instrumentation, and her voice soars over the striding production.
In between releases Katja Glieson has sated fans' thirst for new music by releasing covers of hot tracks. Displaying the creativity and imagination that she first harnessed as Elsa, Glieson has created innovative new renditions of tracks like Selena Gomez's "Good For You." The acoustic performance of the track was supported by the dulcet tones of the didgeridoo, and it breathed new life into Gomez's classic hit. Now Katja is turning her attention to pop princess Ariana Grande's "Dangerous Woman," and the result is equally stunning.
We at PopWrapped are proud to have teamed up with Katja Glieson and her team to premiere her powerful rendition of Grande's "Dangerous Woman." Take a listen to the impressive arrangement below!
Talk about some serious vocals! Katja Glieson is serving some Ariana Grande realness with her vocal gymnastics on "Dangerous Woman," and she did so flawlessly. The cover is stripped back and relaxed, but it serves a comfortable sensuality and leaves us wanting even more from the talented songstress!
Luckily enough, something more will be following soon!
Katja is set to follow up her "Dangerous Woman" release with a new original song titled "I Would Kill" in the near future! She's teased fans with snippets of the upcoming release on her Instagram account, the latest sample coming just yesterday. From what we have heard thus far the track seems to be a stripped back and alluring midtempo, and we're looking forward to hearing in full!
