Exclusive: Postcard From ‘Brooklyn’ Soon On Blu-Ray/DVD

To celebrate BROOKLYN’s Blu-Ray/DVD release, Twentieth Century Fox is giving us an exclusive short, Postcard from Brooklyn!

We’re sure you know this story: girl travels to new world, girl meets boy, they fall in love, they get married.

That right there is Brooklyn in a nutshell, but what the classic story does not tell you is the wonderful journey our protagonist, Eilis Lacey (Saoirse Ronan), experiences along the way…

Fresh off the boat from Ireland, she learns how to grow on her own in 1950s Brooklyn. She meets a wonderful boy named Tony (Emory Cohen), and discovers the joys of creating a life for herself in America without relying too much on her family.

But family is still very important to her, and when her sister passes away, Eilis reserves a ticket for the next boat to Ireland. Without meaning to, she gets swept back into the politics and gossip of the town where she grew up. Her mother even tries to set her up with the son of one of her church friends!

Eilis must decide whether or not she can remain content with her childhood home. But how can she stay in Ireland when she knows there is so much more to discover in America – in Brooklyn, with Tony?

To celebrate the film’s Blu-Ray and DVD release, Twentieth Century Fox has released a special short, Postcard from Brooklyn.

Watch the short below!

What do you think? Will Eilis choose to stay in Ireland, content to fold back into the familiarity of her small town? Will she decide to leave Ireland for a second time and return to her new life in America?

Whether you have already seen it, or are experiencing it for the first time, Brooklyn is an amazing and touching film. Seriously, you are going to need to keep a box of tissues handy – it’s that good!

Brooklyn starring Saoirs Ronan and Emory Cohen will be released on Blu-Ray and DVD March 15, 2016.
