Nuremberg Toy Fair attendees got an up close and detailed look at the costumes worn by the cast of the upcoming Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Star Wars fans who happened to attend the Nuremburg Toy Fair got an up close and personal look at the costumes worn by the main cast members of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Those lucky attendees thankfully snapped a few pictures and quickly posted them on social media, so the rest of us can make wild speculations.

Many of the film’s details have been kept secret, including the plot. Even the names of the characters are being kept under wraps for now, but we do know the film stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen, and Riz Ahmed. It is set just prior to the events of Episode IV: A New Hope, and is rumoured have appearances by some of the franchise’s original villains.

While none of the costumes appear to give away any details about the plot, it is exciting to have more to fuel our collective speculation. Check out the photos below.

A shot of the collection on display, minus the costume worn by Riz Ahmed (who is in the bottom left of the main photo above) is below:

The costumes had already been seen in the official image released by Lucasfilm (above), but it is exciting to see them in a bit more detail. Fans do know that the characters in Rogue One have assembled to locate and obtain the plans for the (first) Death Star, which may explain the utilitarian nature of their costumes.

Rogue One is the first stand alone Star Wars film to be produced, and is directed by Gareth Edwards, and will hit theatres on December 16, 2016, just one year before Episode VIII
