While “Rock the Boat” was a pop hit for 1970’s trio The Hues Corporation, it looks like a certain 1990’s boy band will be doing just that on a new reality show of their very own.  Rock This Boat: New Kids On The Block filming will set sail this June from New York to Bermuda.  The eight episode reality series on TV Guide Network will document a cruise with the quintet and a gaggle of lucky fans joining them for fun in the sun.

Although a first for the group’s foray into reality television, this fan cruise has taken to the sea numerous times before with a phenomenal response.  What diehard fan wouldn’t jump at the chance to lounge by the pool deck with their favorite boy band?  Rumor has it; the waiting list to get tickets is in the thousands.  Apparently, a casting special will even take place to search for which “Blockheads” have “the right stuff.”

While fans may be happily singing The Love Boat theme song in anticipation, there are even more reasons to get excited.  NKOTB’s Jordan Knight and Backstreet Boy Nick Carter have recently announced a musical partnership, aptly called Nick and Knight.  The dreamy duo will release an album in September and embark on a subsequent tour.  A free download of one of their songs, “Just the Two of Us,” is already available on their official website nickandknight.com, as well as a video, tour dates, and concert merchandise.

With so many opportunities to be on the lookout for NKOTB in the near future, Blockheads from coast to coast should be “hangin’ tough” as they await to see their favorite band on reality TV.  In the meantime, get those sailor hats ready.
