Fans of two superhero franchises might want to start getting a little excited after director Bryan Singer suggested that a Fantastic Four/X-Men crossover movie could happen.
Now, before anyone really starts celebrating, he did say that it would depend on the success of the two upcoming releases; Fantastic Four‘s reboot and the long awaited X-Men: Apocalypse.
Speaking to Yahoo Movies while promoting the DVD/home entertainment release of X-Men: Days Of Future Past – The Rogue Cut, Singer said:
“We have to see how the films turn out how this film turns out, how ‘Fantastic Four’ plays, to really understand what kind of desire and how that would really work…you have to see how the films evolve before you make the decision to completely commit to that.”
X-Men: Days Of Future Past grossed $748 million worldwide, so expectations for X-Men: Apocalypse, released May 27, are considerably high. The new Fantastic Four hits theaters on August 7.
Also, we should note that Singer is a new daddy! He and Queer As Folk actress Michelle Clunie are co-parenting a new son, Dashiell, who was born just a few months ago. On June 29, Bryan gave them a shout out on his Instagram:
