Rambo lives on! The German distributor, Splendid Films announced on its website that they’re filming Rambo V.
The talented Sylvester Stallone has written the screenplay, in which Rambo will be fighting a Mexican drug cartel. Stallone will also reprise his role as John Rambo. Avi Lerner will produce; the two have previously worked together on the Expendables trilogy.
The 67-year old first played Vietnam War veteran, John Rambo more than 30 years ago in First Blood.
There have been rumors of a fifth Rambo film since the fourth installment released six years ago and was a tremendous box office success. Early in 2014, Stallone said he was interested in making another Rambo, “I’d love to do another Rambo, but maybe if he works in Las Vegas. Maybe it’s run it’s course.”
Maybe it hasn’t. Rambo V is set to be released in 2015.
