Jennifer Lawrence is bouncing back strong after her scandal a couple of weeks ago, with the release of the first trailer for her highly anticipated movie Serena.
The movie, set in 1930s North Carolina, follows newlywed couple Serena (played by Lawrence) and George (played by Bradley Cooper) Pemberton as they struggle to build a timber empire during the height of the Great Depression.
The on-screen couple will be reunited, having previously starred in both American Hustle and Silver Linings Playbook, on October 24th, when the film is schedule for release in the UK. You folks in the United States however, might be out of luck, as the movie, based on a novel of the same name by Ron Rash, doesn't have a theatrical release planned in the US yet.
Director Susanne Bier, whose film In A Better World, won an Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film in 2011, has been holding back on releasing Serena since 2012. Angelina Jolie was originally slated to star as the title character, but after original director Darren Aronofsky was replaced by Bier, the decision was made to cast Lawrence and Cooper.
