The film’s concept is that a lonely man by the name of Theodore (played by Phoenix) falls in love with a Siri-like computer… hold on, does this sound familiar? Fellow lovers of CBS comedy, The Big Bang Theory, will remember a similar incident involving Raj Koothrappali. To refresh your memories, here is the clip below:

Moving swiftly on, this Spike Jonze directed film, will go down the drama route as opposed to comedy. Scarlett Johansson voices the character of Samantha, the love interest in the film.

Samantha, hailed as the ‘world’s first artificially intelligent operating system’, begins organising Theodore’s life for him via his computer. Their bond begins to deepen and take on the form of a ‘relationship’ when Samantha starts asking him deep questions late at night.
