Fischer King Unveils Riveting New Single “Memory Into Error”

“…it’s about how deeply malleable human memory is. It’s not a photograph or a recording.”

Los Angeles based producer, singer and songwriter Fischer King is an artist known for his brand of “existential pop” and heartfelt and poignant releases all about loss, growth and the human spirit. His new single “Memory Into Error”, which PopWrapped are delighted to premiere along with its video, is a cinematic offering featuring his signature moody electronic meets infectious pop sound for a delectable yet haunting release.

The track sees Fischer King dissect the human memory and he says of the song: “In a broad sense it’s about how things slip away – time, people, life – both in a literal sense, and the way you feel about them. But more specifically, it’s about how deeply malleable human memory is. It’s not a photograph or a recording.” He goes onto add that: “Memories invariably become stories that you’ve told yourself over and over and over again. And sometimes those stories are better than the truth.” With a slicing blend of sharp beats, penetrating bass and layered effected vocals, “Memory Into Error” is an enthralling sonic exploration, while also serving as a lyrical and musical reminder to hold on tight to those important and happy recollections.

Fischer King is not only a producer and songwriter but also a well-known composer. Influenced by the likes of James Blake, Nine Inch Nails, Claude Debussy, as well as classical music, he has lent his talents to well- known artists, producers and musicians alike. His debut self-titled EP released in 2020 garnered critical acclaim for its honest and brave accounts of deception and addiction. The artist continues to make waves with his compositions, filming scores on an upcoming film “Into That Good Night – The Last of The Nightingales,” a highly anticipated environmental documentary.
