Fleetwood Mac is one of the most beloved rock bands of all time with lots of classics in their back catalog. The group has just kicked off its American tour and what's different this time around, is that Christine McVie rejoined the rest of the bandmates, after 16 years of absence.
Back in 1998, McVie decided to leave Fleetwood Mac in order to live a quiet life, out of the spotlight, in England. After all these years, the rest of the band's members feel their act is "complete" now that their missing vocalist and keyboard player returned. The songstress herself put herself in six weeks of practice, in order to rehearse for the tour and be prepared for what's to come. Actually, she joked that they are "not getting any younger".
Fleetwood Mac kicked of their tour in the United States on Monday, with a show in Minneapolis. It was the first concert with all original members in 16 years. Mick Fleetwood and Stevie Nicks said it felt like she had never gone away from the band, while Lindsay Buckingham said the moment was "poetic" for the group.
At this point, Fleetwood Mac is on a 24-date tour, all the way to December 20.
