Strong with the Force, the UK is.
Disney have been rather kind to us Brits with their Marvel outputs, giving us first looks across to their latest films a couple of weeks before the rest of the world, and their small independent movie that's due before Christmas will also get an early UK release, albeit by only 24 hours rather than two weeks.
The film? Oh, Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
That's right, across their social networks, Disney have been sharing the news with a 100 Days to Go mini video being shared on their Instagram feed -- which you really should follow, all of their big announcements seem to come from there first nowadays -- posting the news that the most anticipated movie of the year will be on the British Isles on December 17th, rather than December 18th, like the rest of the world. Mwuaahh-haha. MWUAAAH-HAHAHAHAHA!
*Cough* sorry. So yes, the gap isn't particularly huge, but it still gives us bragging rights, doesn't it? Even if it is just for a single day.
To clarify - Star Wars: The Force Awakens is released everywhere on December 18th, apart from the UK (and France, incidentally), where it lands a day earlier. Huzzah!
