Former Glee guest star and Filipino YouTube sensation Charice Pempengco has reportedly attempted suicide, according to the star’s grandmother.
The Australia new site, ninemsn, states that in an interview with Showbiz Police, a Filipino talk show, Charice’s grandmother, Teresita Relucio revealed that “her granddaughter (who guest starred as Sunshine Corazon in the hit musical dramedy) had cut her wrists because she was experiencing financial problems”.
Relucio proceeds to detail how although Charice had previously denied financial difficulties and had recently paid in cash for a new car, that her bank account had been cleared out.
No further details have emerged about when the suicide attempt took place, however, Charice took to Instagram yesterday posting a happy pic of herself with the caption “Good morning po! God bless po! Start your day with a smile.”
