Fox Announces New Spring Comedy Line Up With Some Glee Surprises

Clare Sidoti

Managing Editor

Gleeks we have some major scheduling news for you!!!! Earlier this year it was announced that this year’s Glee season would be split with a number of episodes airing before Christmas and then a winter long hiatus with it returning in the spring. There was no indication when in the spring it would be returning or how long this hiatus would last, but today Fox announced their spring comedy line up and there are some interesting developments. First the good news and what Gleeks have been holding out for… Glee will return to our screens on February 25, 2014. Yes you are reading that right. Glee will return on Tuesday February 25. That leads us to the other big news released today… Glee is moving times and days, back to its old time slot. Glee is returning back to be part of Fox’s Tuesday comedy line up, which will be as follows: 8pm: Glee 9pm: New Girl 9:30pm: Brooklyn Nine-Nine. With the one-hour Glee taking up the Tuesday schedule again, two Fox comedies have been dropped: The Mindy Project and Dads. Fans of Mindy do not have to fret just yet as Fox sources told E! that the current plan is for The Mindy Project to take Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s Tuesday night slot once it finishes its run. The news isn’t so good for Dads though. It will currently air until February 11 but then “might return at some point, but no plan so far”. Greg Kinnear’s new dramedy Rake will be filling the Thursday night slot vacated by Glee.
