Fox's 'Frankenstein' Begins To Assemble Behind-The-Scenes Team | frankenstein

Fox's sci-fi drama pilot Frankenstein has finally found itself a director in none other than Michael Cuesta, who is most well-known for directing the pilot of Showtime's hit series Homeland. Cuesta will be reuniting with Homeland executive producer Howard Gordon, who will also be on-board Frankenstein as an executive producer. Joining Cuesta and Gordon in this seemingly solid pilot is Crisis and Life creator Rand Ravich, who will also serve as an executive producer and series writer. Fox's Frankenstein is being described as a more "grounded" version of Mary Shelley's horror classic. It will focus on Ray Pritchard, a retired corrupt cop who is brought back from the dead, thus giving him a second chance at life. Pritchard, who is now much stronger and much younger, will have to choose between his old ways and his newfound purpose in life. I have high hopes for this pilot and sincerely hope it finds success (so that people can forget about the last disastrous Frankenstein remake-- sorry, I, Frankenstein).
