If there was any other stand-out, emotionally impactive scene during the whole of Game Of Thrones last season, aside from that of Jon Snow bleeding in, ironically, the snow (I still don’t quite believe he’s really gone, do you?), it has to be that of Shireen Baratheon being burned to death.

What made the death even more shocking for viewers was that, for those who had read the books, Shireen lives on, but the idea to kill her off in such a manner came from writer George. R.R. Martin.

Now, a few weeks after her exit from the show, the actress who played her, Kerry Ingram, has stirred up all kinds of emotions on social media after posting this snap on her Twitter page:

Her tweet was met with surprising positivity by many of her followers who responded with messages praising her sense of humour:

While others appropriately tweeted a lyric from “Love The Way You Lie” by Eminem and Rihanna:

Whether fans think it’s too soon for such a jokey pic or not, you have to admit, Ingram sure knows how to keep fans clinging onto the many feels they felt as they and millions of others watched her character perish. To that, we say, good on ya girl, just don’t make a regular habit of it, okay?
