Watch out, Tom Daley! There’s a new “Sexiest Man In The World” coming for your recent accolade.

Geraldo Rivera, who had his own talk show aptly named Geraldo for eleven years, lately can be spotted on various Fox “News” programs.

Apparently, that is simply not enough exposure for the television personality. He took to the Twitterverse on Sunday posting a selfie that will forever be burned into my memory.

Rivera thinks he looks damn good for a seventy-year-old man, claiming that “70 is the new fifty.” He then continued with “Erica and family are going to be so pissed…but at my age…” We get it, buddy. You think you look good.

Rivera’s fifth wife, Erica, luckily has a good sense of humor. In an exclusive statement to E! Mrs. Rivera said: “This is exactly the kind of thing that happens when I fall asleep first…Thank god we have towels in the bathroom. But I’m proud my husband looks so hot!”

We at PopWrapped believe that the saying “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” was coined in anticipation of this disastrous photo.

Other celebrities responded to the tweet, almost unanimously agreeing that it was just… well… gross:

Jackée Harry: “Dear, Geraldo: STOP! Best, Jackée.”

Lena Dunham: “The oppositional teen in me wants to be like “leave Geraldo alone!” but I can’t deal with his penis bones.”

Rivera’s colleague, the ever-obnoxious Glenn Beck, had his own opinion of the tweet:

“Keep your clothes on! Or the kids and I disown you if you ever go nuts and tweet pic.” Okay, that doesn’t make much sense, but the general idea is fairly clear. Beck then followed up with this tweet: “Okay 40 isn’t 70. But still – check out my bathroom towel pic! Sorry ladies I just can’t turn this off,” which was accompanied by Beck’s own bathroom selfie.

I hate to say it, but I’d rather look at a bundled up Glenn Beck than a half naked Geraldo Rivera any day. Luckily for us Rivera later removed the original tweet and somewhat sheepishly commented: “Note to self: no tweeting after 1am.”
