Get Ready For Some Doctor Who Fun At The National Media Museum

Kate McHale

Staff Writer

For the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who, Whovians are being treated to great news. The National Media Museum will be busy with many different activities to engage the plentiful Doctor Who fan base. Created in 1963, and the BBC sci-fi television show is still going strong. The fan base is constantly growing, allowing new fans to appreciate the series in different ways. Visitors to the museum will be able to make their own Doctor Who monster to accompany them home, make a light up TARDIS, and even get a behind the scenes look at how a Doctor Who episode is made. The National Media Museum is even making this extravaganza family friendly; the whole family is going to get the opportunity to take a quiz to test your Doctor Who knowledge. The guests will also have the opportunity to view the episode “Nightmare Silver” from 2013 which features the Cybermen. The learning program coordinator is very excited for this event to come to The National Media Museum, Elaine Richmond said, "We hope families will join us this half term to help keep the Museum from the clutches of the dreaded Daleks.” Throughout the 50 year series there have been eleven different actors who have had the privilege of becoming the Doctor. The “Doctor Who Family Fun” takes place from October 26 through November 3 at The National Media Museum, in Bradford UK.
